“ I had the vegetable beef soup and it was delicious! We also had the chocolate cake for dessert, it was incredibly moist and a very large serving. Our server was very friendly and helpful. ”
“ We visited for a birthday lunch after hearing great things from friends. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming, staff was nice. The food was good with enough portions I happily took some food home. Seems like a great place to revisit for dinner and drinks or just another nice weekend lunch as we live out of town. Definitely worth the trip, and looking forward to the completion of the remodel! ”
“ We love the atmosphere. This evening several tables sat around and had what I would consider a group chat and harassed the waitress a bit because she is my daughter and a bit because it feels like a family gathering regardless of the staff and the customers every time we walk in the doors. The food is always amazing, people are always pleasant and treat you like they have known you for years. I strongly recommend the fried chicken and prime rib! Absolutely amazing! ”
“ This place was amazing with excellent food and service! The hostess seemed irritated and inconvenienced, but we fortunately chose to sit at the bar in the lounge. The restaurant is gorgeous and very historic. We had the prime rib and halibut it was prepared very well and the prime rib was perfectly rare. The bartender was very attentive and friendly without being overbearing. We look forward to returning and bypassing the hostess to get amazing service in the lounge again!! ”
“ They understood and had a gluten free menu!! Super sweet staff and great food. Love the antiques along the walls along with the appearance of gas lit lamps. I enjoy a rare steak with a good crust all over. My filet was bacon wrapped and the bacon was limp and not crispy., my husband thinks because I Gluten Free they couldnt cook it in a pan? The flavor is great but I like a crisp to my veggies, they seemed overdone but the flavor amazing. My husband loved all of his food too. Very glad we came to eat when we were here. ”
“ I recently visited Chances R and was thrilled to see their famous prime rib buffet back in actionand let me tell you, it did not disappoint. In fact, this was handsdown some of the best prime rib Ive had in a long time. The meat was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, complemented perfectly by that creamy horseradish sauce. Its the kind of prime rib that cuts like butter, reminding you of why prime rib is such a steakhouse favorite in the first place. Beyond the prime rib, the buffet lineup was impressive. It included a range of sidesfrom cheesy hash browns that were comforting and gooey to a simple, fresh house salad topped with a tangy dressing. Everything tasted like it was prepared with real care. Even the corn was sweet and buttery, rounding out the classic steakhouse experience. Atmospherewise, I loved the warm, rustic vibe of the place. The dining room felt inviting, with wood floors underfoot and twinkling string lights overhead. A backdrop of neon signs gave it a fun, nostalgic touchalmost like stepping back in time to a traditional roadhouse setting. The staff were friendly and attentive, always checking in to make sure everything was just right. If youre a prime rib fan or simply looking for a hearty, comforting meal in a relaxed setting, Chances R has you covered. Its rare to find a buffet that keeps quality and flavor this high, especially with a cut like prime rib. I left more than satisfied and cant wait to go back. Highly recommended! ”
“ Ordered a couple of drinks and had the primerib sandwich! Was absolutely not disappointed by anymeans. Even ordered dessert. Again, delicious lovely staff and charm. ”
“ We were on a road trip from WI to UT and stopped in for dinner 222. It wasnt that crowded when we arrived so we had very attentive service. The food tasted wonderful and the qualityprice was very fair. Roast beef with with mashed potatoes and a patty melt. Very good local beverages too. Cozy and nostalgic 1932. Definitely worth the seven minute drive north of I80. Highly recommend. ”
